Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last elections, Atiku Abubakar, has arrived back in Nigeria in preparation for the party’s much-anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Atiku’s spokesperson, Paul Ibe, confirmed his return to Daily Trust, stating that Atiku considers it his obligation to attend the NEC meeting as a member, stakeholder, and caucus party member.

Ibe elaborated that Atiku had been abroad for his annual vacation, which had been postponed due to the recent elections and subsequent legal proceedings.

Highlighting the significance of the upcoming NEC meeting scheduled for April 18, Ibe emphasized its importance as an opportunity for the party to conduct a post-2023 election review and strategize for the future.
