Ondo Poll: PDP To Hold Ward Congress Monday

  • The committee is to conduct the ward congresses across Ondo State for election of three ad-hoc delegates from each of the 203 wards.
  • The PDP NWC has directed that one out of the three delegates from each ward must be a woman.

The national working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has authorised nomination of an electoral committee for the state ward congress in Ondo.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Debo Ologunagba, PDP spokesperson said that the members of the committee are expected to conduct a 3-man ad-hoc ward congress for the purpose of electing 3ad-joc delegates per ward, “one of whom shall be a woman” in each of the 203 wards in the state.

The party spokesperson said that the congress is billed to hold at the ward secretariat in each of the 203 Wards on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Abba Moro, minority senate leader, is to take charge as Chairman, Nheoma Ndu will be secretary of the committee.

The NWC urged all governorship aspirants, leaders, stakeholders, and members of the party in the state to adhereby its schedule.
