  • Anthony Joshua announced his boxing comeback in September, aiming to reclaim his status as a three-time world champion
  • Despite setbacks, Joshua remains determined, enjoying a four-fight winning streak and eyeing the pathway to undisputed glory

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua announced his comeback to the ring in September following his recent knockout victory against Francis Ngannou.

Despite setbacks in losing and failing to reclaim his belts against Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua remains determined to reclaim his status as a three-time world champion, currently enjoying a four-fight winning streak.

In the past year, Joshua has secured four victories, including notable knockouts against Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin, and Francis Ngannou.

During an interview on the Jonathon Ross show, Joshua revealed his anticipated return to action: “Around September is when I’ve been told; I was hoping for June. I have some time to go on dates now and mingle a bit. I’m training now; I’ve got two months before I get into training camp.”

When questioned about a potential bout with Tyson Fury, Joshua affirmed his interest in the rivalry, stating, “Fury is one of my rivals; this is someone I want to compete with one day. So everything he says, I’ve got it all stored in the back of my memory, and when the fight happens, I will use it as a lot of fuel.”

Reflecting on his last fight with Ngannou, Joshua expressed his readiness for a tough battle but was surprised by the swift outcome. Despite the victory, Joshua remains focused on becoming the number one contender for the WBC title, eyeing the upcoming clash between Usyk and Fury on May 18 as a potential pathway to undisputed glory.
