NAHCON Signs Airlift Agreement With FlyNas For 2024 Hajj

...assures pilgrims of excellent services

  • The hajj commission has selected Flynas, Max Air and Air Peace as hajj official carriers that will airlift 51,447 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for 2024 hajj. 
  • Flynas said it will position six aircraft for the 2024 hajj operation as parts of its efforts to organize a seamless operations in line with global standards. 

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has signed agreements with Flynas, a Saudi Arabian airline, for the airlift of Nigerian pilgrims in the 2024 Hajj.

Speaking during the signing ceremony at the Hajj house headquarters of the commission on Friday in Abuja, Jalal Arabi, NAHCON chairman, described airlines as key partners in the Hajj operation, noting that the three approved airlines were partners in progress.

The event also saw Yasser Ajlan, FlyNas director for business development, Hani Isma’il, manager business development and Umar Kaila, MD of first planet travels, Nigeria general sales agent (GSA) of FlyNas in attendance.

“We are happy to sign this agreement with NAHCON, and we want to assure the new Chairman Mr Jalal Arabi of our unwavering support and commitment towards a successful hajj operations in Nigeria,” Ajlan said.

“FlyNas will airlift Muslim pilgrims from Borno, Lagos, Osun, Ogun, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe, and Zamfara.

“With over 80 local adhoc staff, Flynas has been airlifting Nigerian pilgrims in the last nine years without any hitches. The airline’s entry into the Nigerian hajj eco-system has tremendously helped in capacity building of its workforce as well as stabilizing the airlift operations of Nigerian pilgrims to and from Saudi Arabia.”

FlyNas, a subsidiary of Nigeria’s Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), adding it planned to position six aircraft for the 2024 hajj operation, aiming to ensure seamless global operations.

In his remarks, Ajlan promised to work closely with NAHCON boss to provide excellent and seamless services to Nigerian pilgrims.

The Hajj body had earlier announced Nigerian airlines Max Air and Air Peace, alongside Saudi-based airline FlyNas, as the successful airlines to airlift Nigerian pilgrims and officials this year.
