  • Dr. Al-Ijebuwi urges Nigerians to refrain from cursing President Tinubu amid socio-economic challenges, emphasizing patience and reliance on Allah
  • Quoting incidents involving Prophet Muhammad, he highlights the importance of avoiding curses and instead seeking refuge in Allah’s guidance

Nigerians have received a plea from Dr. Rafee Busayree Al-Ijebuwi, the Chief Imam and Grand-Mufti of Al-Huda Mosque Byazhin, Kubwa, Abuja, urging them to refrain from cursing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders amidst the nation’s socio-economic challenges.

During his Eid-el-Fitri sermon, ‘No fleeing from Allah but refuge with Him,’ following the conclusion of the 2024 Ramadan fasting, Dr. Al-Ijebuwi emphasized the need for patience and reliance on Allah amidst the hardships faced during this period.

He acknowledged the difficulty citizens faced and the impatience with the government due to ongoing reforms initiated by President Tinubu. Dr. Al-Ijebuwi reminded listeners that seeking refuge in Allah and praying for guidance for President Tinubu and his cabinet members should be prioritized over cursing and taunting leaders.

Quoting an incident involving Prophet Muhammad, Dr. Al-Ijebuwi emphasized the importance of refraining from assisting Satan by fueling anger and obstinacy through curses.
