Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has earnestly requested the support of delegates participating in the forthcoming primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for April 20, 2024, to choose him as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
Addressing delegates during his campaign rally held at Ile/Oluji over the weekend, Governor Aiyedatiwa, a prominent contender for the party’s ticket, emphasized the significance of their participation in the electoral process. He urged all delegates to bring their party membership cards and exercise their voting rights on April 20.
“I implore you to turn out in full force on April 20 and cast your votes in my favour. Your steadfast support and efforts in mobilizing our party members to endorse my candidacy have not gone unnoticed,” the governor stated.
Expressing gratitude to party leaders and acknowledging the dedication of party members, Aiyedatiwa conveyed his deep appreciation for their confidence in his leadership.
If the delegates granted him the mandate, he further pledged to uphold good governance principles and build upon his administration’s achievements.
It is worth noting that the APC has cleared 16 aspirants, including Aiyedatiwa, to compete in the primary election preceding the gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16 in the state.
