Former Chief of Defence Staff General Theophilus Y. Danjuma (rtd) has expressed deep concern over Nigeria’s security challenges, asserting that they have brought disgrace upon the nation and made it a subject of ridicule on the global stage.

At the annual Nwonyo Fishing and Cultural Festival in Ibbi Local Government Area of Taraba State, General Danjuma emphasized the urgent need for decisive action to address the prevailing security issues.

He stressed that Nigeria’s authorities must swiftly embark on measures to restore the country’s tarnished reputation by effectively tackling the security challenges plaguing the nation.

General Danjuma highlighted the detrimental impact of insecurity on Nigeria’s image, noting that potential investors and tourists would be deterred from engaging with the country if their safety cannot be guaranteed.
