The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled plans to introduce monthly football awards to recognise and celebrate the best players and coaches in Nigerian football.

According to a statement released by the federation, these awards are designed to foster positive conversations about Nigerian football domestically and internationally. The initiative will initially feature seven categories, highlighting the contributions of players and coaching staff across various aspects of the game.

The NFF Awards will acknowledge individual excellence and present sponsorship opportunities, allowing companies and institutions to support the development and sustainability of Nigerian football.

The NFF Awards project, which focuses on celebrating achievements, engaging fans meaningfully, showcasing Nigerian football globally, and maintaining ongoing discussions about the sport, is expected to become a pivotal program for football in the country.
