Road accident: NYSC DG visits affected corp members at army hospital in Kaduna

The DG prayed for the injured Corps Members' quick recovery.

  • General Ahmed also lauded the management of the hospital for effective medical assistance being rendered to the Corps Members since they were admitted.
  • Both Corps Members appreciated the fatherly disposition of the Director General for his magnanimity by visiting them.

Yushau Dogara Ahmed, director-general of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has paid a solicitude visit to corp members involved in a fatal road accident on their way to the orientation camps in Katsina and Jigawa.

The corp members identified as Oladele Misturah Abidemi and Olayiwola Hannah with the state codes; “KD/24A/3804 and KD/24A/3805” were on transit in the same vehicle when the accident occured along Zaria enroute Jigawa road.

In a statement by Eddy Megwa, the director of press at the NYSC headquarters, the DG while commiserating with the injured corps members, commended their patriotic zeal for accepting their deployment for national service.

Ahmed pledged to prioritise the welfare and security of corps members, adding that they were admitted at 44 Nigerian army reference hospital in Kaduna.

The DG hailed the hospital management for providing effective medical assistance to the injured corpers, while praying for their quick recovery.

The corps members appreciated the director general’s fatherly disposition for his magnanimity for visiting them.
