  • Abdullahi unveiled NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as outlined in the eight-point administration’s agenda.
  • He explained that the partnership with DHQ and other security agencies with the involvement of Cisco would present opportunities for robust engagement.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Defence Headquarters (DHQ), and other security agencies are collaborating to develop and deploy digital solutions to address terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry in Nigeria.

The digital solutions will include drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other digital assets.

NITDA Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, announced this during an interactive session with reporters at Hotel Continental, Abuja, on Wednesday, May 15.

He also unveiled NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (2024-2027), which aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The partnership with DHQ and other security agencies, including Cisco International, will facilitate robust engagement, innovation, and co-creation of digital technology and assets to combat security challenges in Nigeria.

Cisco International, which has experience designing digital platforms and assets for the US military, will bring its expertise to the project to help Nigeria overcome its current security challenges.

The collaboration aims to harness digital technology to enhance Nigeria’s security capabilities and ensure a safer and more secure environment for citizens.
