  • The lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi⁩, confirmed the incident

At least two youths were killed on Friday when a clutch of yet-to-be-identified gunmen attacked Ogbe in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

It was gathered that the gunmen, armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the community and carried out the attack without any intervention from security agencies in the area.

A source, who spoke with newsmen in confidence, said the gunmen are Fulani.

The source said: “Some gunmen identified as Fulani reportedly murdered two of our active youths committed to community assignment around the general area of Oyi River before ascending Ogbe Town here in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.
