Hajj 2024: Pilgrims Encouraged to Uphold Good Conduct

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has emphasized the importance of good conduct among intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj.

Prince Olanrewaju Anofiu Elegushi, the National Commissioner of Operations at NAHCON, delivered this message during the 22nd annual Hajj seminar for the 326 intending pilgrims of the Hajj Mabrur Ventures Limited in Abuja.

Elegushi stressed the significance of enlightenment before embarking on the pilgrimage, noting that many pilgrims may lack awareness of the journey’s significance and requirements.

He emphasized that Hajj Mabrur Ventures Limited plays a crucial role in ensuring pilgrims adhere to the rules and intentions of the pilgrimage. He reminded pilgrims that the purpose of their journey is to worship and urged them to remain focused on this objective.

Furthermore, Elegushi encouraged the pilgrims to represent Nigeria positively and to pray for the country’s well-being during their pilgrimage.

Alhaji AbdulHameed Olasunkanmi Solate, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Hajj Mabrur Ventures Limited, echoed Elegushi’s sentiments. He urged the intending pilgrims to be exemplary ambassadors of Nigeria and to strictly adhere to the regulations and principles of the Saudi Arabian Government.

Solate also announced that the organization had procured insurance for the 326 intending pilgrims travelling with them, ensuring their safety and security during the pilgrimage.
