  • The reinstatement of Emir Muhammad Sanusi ll has sparked controversy and upheaval in the State as the dethroned Bayero refuses to vacate the throne

Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Thursday met with the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA).

The meeting is coming amid the emirship tussle in the state.

Governor Yusuf disclosed this in a tweet via his official X handle on Thursday.

Recall that the deputy governor, Aminu Gwarzo, had accused Ribadu of securing a safe passage for Ado Bayero, the dethroned Emir of Kano, for his return to the palace by providing him with two private jet.

Ribadu had threatened to sue Gwarzo over the allegation but the deputy governor withdrew his claims.

The reinstatement of Emir Muhammad Sanusi ll has sparked controversy and upheaval in the State as the dethroned Bayero continues to lay claim to the throne and refuses to vacate the palace.

The situation has also engendered a flurry of conflicting court injunctions and orders as the parties involved in the crisis seek legal backing to consolidate their positions.
