Nasarawa: Gunmen abduct, kill ex-Attorney General’s father

• Late Comrade Lagi was reportedly murdered by his abductors for blocking the payment of ransome m to secure his released

Gunmen wreaking havoc in Nigeria’s middle belt region have killed Comrade Daniel Umaru Lagi in Nasarawa State.

Daniel Lagi was the father of the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Innocent Lagi.

His killing followed his abduction by the gunmen on the 28 of May

Late Comrade Lagi was reportedly murdered by his abductors for blocking the payment of ransome to secure his release.

The body of late Comrade Daniel Umaru Lagi, killed by the unidentified gunmen is said to have been deposited in one of the hospitals in Akwanga Local government area of the state.

One of the suspects has been reportedly arrested  while the military personnels are on the trails of other abductors of the deceased.

The Nasarawa police Command spokesman, DSP Ranham Nansel, is yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
