The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has launched an ambitious initiative to train 30 million youths in digital economy skills.

Formalized at the NYSC Secretariat in Abuja, the partnership aims to bridge the digital divide and empower the next generation to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Officials disclosed in Abuja that the initiative will focus on practical training in critical areas such as software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital marketing.

Highlighting the significance of digital literacy, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, stressed the importance of leveraging technology to enhance productivity and digital skills.

Today, we embark on a significant mission,” he remarked.

In his remarks, the Minister of State for Youth, Ayodele Olawande Wisdom, praised the collaboration, emphasizing unity of purpose in achieving shared objectives.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director General of NYSC, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative and affirmed NYSC’s full commitment to collaboration with NITDA.

“For us in NYSC, this initiative is highly commendable, and we have no doubt that we will fully engage with NITDA to drive this process forward,” he affirmed.
