Tinubu condoles Ganduje on mother-in-law’s death

  • Asiya’s death came barely 24 after Vice President Kashim Shettima also announced the passing away of his mother-in-law, Maryam Albishir.
  • The 69-year-old matriarch was also reported to have died in Kano on Sunday evening after a prolonged illness.

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, over the passing of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Asiya Muhammad Gauyama.

Hajiya Asiya died in Kano on Monday.

In a statement on Monday, Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, said that the deceased will be missed for her contributions to her family and community as matriarch, guide, and leader.

The President prayed for the repose of the soul of the late Hajiya Asiya and comfort for her family.
