  • The Federal Government signed a 10-year agreement with the ACCI to promote the “Buy Made in Nigeria” initiative
  • The partnership aims to boost economic growth by supporting local manufacturing, creating jobs, and enhancing Nigerian industries’ competitiveness

The Federal Government has taken a significant step towards advancing the national economy with the signing of a 10-year agreement between the Made-in-Nigeria Project Office, operating under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OGSF), and the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI). This partnership is geared towards promoting and developing the “Buy Made in Nigeria” initiative.

According to a statement from Olayemi John-Mensah, the ACCI’s media and strategy officer, the signing ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, heralded the commencement of a decade-long collaboration aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s economic growth through local production.

Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong, the second deputy president of the ACCI, alongside Mr. Agabaidu Chukwuemeka Jideani, the director-general, led the ACCI delegation at the event, underscoring the chamber’s dedication to driving economic prosperity via domestic manufacturing.

“The Made in Nigeria Project Office, OGSF, and the ACCI partnership is poised to transform the Nigerian economy by advocating for and supporting locally manufactured goods. This strategic alliance seeks to enhance domestic manufacturing capabilities, generate job opportunities, and improve the overall competitiveness of Nigerian industries.”
