An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken his own life at his residence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

According to PRNigeria, the deceased, a member of Course 5, was known for being diligent, efficient, and unassuming. The tragic incident occurred on Monday.

The Commission is investigating potential factors, including mental health and family challenges, that may have contributed to the operative’s depression and tragic decision.

When contacted about the incident, EFCC spokesperson Mr. Dele Oyewale told PRNigeria that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the suicide.
