Ex-Senate President, Pius Anyim officially joins APC

Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, has officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

His defection to the ruling party is coming weeks after announcing the resignation of his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, membership.

Reports had emerged on June 29 that the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, had dumped the PDP for APC.

He was formally welcomed into the party alongside other stakeholders in the Southeast on Saturday by the national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The event took place at the Abakaliki Stadium during the party’s rally.

Governors and other party stalwarts including the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma were in attendance
