  • Oloyede revealed that the Nigerian government later granted a special waiver to the culprits

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has uncovered over one million illegal admissions in Nigerian tertiary institutions between 2017 and 2020.

This disclosure came from JAMB Registrar Professor Is-haq Oloyede in a recent presentation.

Oloyede revealed that the Nigerian government later granted a special waiver to the culprits, allowing their admissions to stand.

He highlighted ongoing issues at various universities, including the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Kwara State University, where over 700 students were admitted beyond quotas.
