  • The NIA DG was appointed by the former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The director general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has resigned from his position.

He submitted his resignation letter to President Bola Tinubu over the weekend.

The reasons behind Abubakar’s resignation are unclear at this time.
