  • In her lifetime, the centenarian produced a president, two-term governor, vice-president, minister, major general, and a colonel, among others.
  • One of her sons — the late Umaru — was a two-term governor of Katsina state and later became Nigeria’s president from 2007 to 2010.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar paid their respects at the funeral service of the late Dada Yar’Adua, mother of the late former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.

She passed away on Monday at a hospital in Katsina after a short illness.
