Abducted Borno High Court Judge, Justice Mshelia, released

  • Justice Mshelia, a judge of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri was traveling in his vehicle, accompanied by his driver, a security escort and his wife when the sad incident took place about two months ago.

Abducted Borno State High Court Chief Judge, Justice Haruna Mshelia, has been released by his captors.

Recalled that the he was abducted alongside his wife, driver and orderly by suspected Boko Haram terrorists along Biu-Damaturu-Maiduguri Road, on June 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, another source disclosed that the wife, Bintu Mshelia, the driver are still being held by the terrorists, while the police orderly has been executed.

Justice Mshelia, a judge of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri was traveling in his vehicle, accompanied by his driver, a security escort and his wife when the sad incident took place about two months ago.

His release was announced in a blog post on Loyalnigerianlawyer.com on yesterday.

The post read: “Alhamdulillah (We give thanks to God), we have just received the news of the release (from BH captivity), of Justice Mshelia. May Allah Almighty protect us all from any form of mishap.

“The legal community welcomes this relieving news as it solemnly prays for the quick release of the remaining captives.”
