Nigeria’s Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has warned the government of the dangers of widespread hardship and suffering caused by the removal of fuel subsidies.
In a sermon titled ‘Miracle of Open Doors,’ Mbaka urged President Bola Tinubu to hire experts to address the economic crisis and alleviate Nigerians’ suffering.
Mbaka criticized the government for prioritizing governors’ interests over the poor masses, saying Nigeria’s rich resources are being mismanaged due to poor leadership. He emphasized the need for industrialization, steady power supply, and lower interest rates to boost production.
The cleric also warned of an impending famine, urging Nigerians to take action to survive. He lamented the exodus of youths from the country, citing the struggles they face abroad.
Mbaka called on the government to address the suffering of the poor, saying mortuaries are filling up with those who died from hopelessness. He urged the government to take action, saying, ‘We cannot continue like this. Shall we continue like this? Never.
