  • The deportees were received by officials from the National Security Adviser’s office

Four hundred Nigerians, comprising 90 females and 310 males, have been deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to reports by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

The deportees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where they were received by officials from the National Security Adviser’s office, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), among other stakeholders.

Earlier, 103 Nigerians were deported from Turkey and similarly received by NEMA and other agencies.

Additionally, 264 Nigerian passengers faced visa cancellations upon landing at the King Abdulaziz International Airport’s Hajj Terminal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 13, 2023.
