The Department of State Services, DSS, has reportedly arrested popular activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore was said to have been arrested upon his return to Nigeria.
The activist’s arrest was confirmed by fellow activist, Deji Adeyanju on Sunday.
Adeyanju said, “SOWORE was arrested by the jobless and lawless Nigerian government for calling for an End to Bad Governance protest,” he said.
Also, Saharareporters reported: “NewsFlash: DSS Arrests Sowore Upon Arrival To Nigeria After Order By New DSS Boss.”
Recall that Sowore had raised alarm that the Nigerian security forces were attempting to track him down in his hometown in Ondo State.
The former presidential candidate claimed that security agencies were plotting to frame him as guilty of bogus offences.
He had disclosed this via his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
