  • The impasse comes after Dangote Refinery started loading its petrol on Sunday.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has doubled down on its earlier disclosure that Dangote Refinery sold Petrol to it at N897 per liter.

A statement on Sunday credited to NNPCL spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, had claimed that Dangote was selling its petrol for N897.

In a swift rebuttal, Dangote denied selling fuel to the NNPCL at the price the state-owned oil company announced.

Dangote Group in a statement by its spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, on Sunday described NNPCL claim as “misleading and mischievous.”

Reacting to Dangote’s refinery statement, NNPCL said it stood by his revelation.

“We stand by our earlier stand that Dangote Refinery Petrol is sold to us at N898 per litre.

“We have documents to back this point”, Olufemi Soneye told DAILY POST.
