  • They voiced their frustrations on Wednesday

Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria have raised concerns over the lack of accessible infrastructure, education, and supportive policies that hinder their quality of life.

They voiced their frustrations on Wednesday during the unveiling of a mural by SightSavers Nigeria at the Area One roundabout in Abuja, ahead of the upcoming Summit of the Future at the 79th United Nations General Assembly.

Despite the signing of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act in 2019, which mandates the removal of barriers for PWDs, the implementation of the law remains a challenge.
