  • President Tinubu’s Special Adviser clarified that the President can travel freely during his two-week leave, moving from the UK to France
  • Tinubu’s Senior Special Assistant confirmed his departure for Paris, emphasizing that the leave allows for productive engagements beyond the UK

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information, Bayo Onanuga, clarified that Tinubu can travel anywhere while on his two-week leave.

This statement came after some critics questioned Tinubu’s movement from the UK to France.

On Friday, Onanuga posted on X, emphasizing that the President’s leave allowed him to travel freely. “President Tinubu is on a two-week leave and not confined to the UK. He can go wherever he wishes during this private time,” Onanuga stated.

Tinubu initially left Nigeria on October 2, starting his two-week working vacation in the UK, part of his annual leave. Onanuga had earlier confirmed the President’s departure, stating that he would use the time to reflect on economic reforms.
