The Super Eagles have returned to Nigeria following their harrowing experience in Libya for the 2025 AFCON qualifying match.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the team and Nigerian Football Federation officials endured over a grueling 12-hour wait at the Libyan airport.

The players’ plight sparked widespread outrage after photos of them sleeping on airport benches went viral, drawing condemnation from Nigerian authorities and fans.

But the team has now landed in Kano after their flight was cleared to take off.
