A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lost his longtime aide Ndifreke Saviour Mark.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, announced the death of Mark in a statement on Monday.
He disclosed that mark slumped and died in Mildy Lodge and Apartments hotel in Garki, Abuja.
According to FFK, the Police revealed that his aide booked a room at the hotel and spent some time with an undisclosed individual after which he collapsed and died “in that individual’s presence”.
He said the deceased was immediately rushed to the Asokoro District Hospital, where he was eventually pronounced dead.
Fani-Kayode said the undisclosed individual who the deceased aide went to the hotel with and the hotel receptionist have been apprehended and detained by the police.
“The individual he was with at the time of his death in the hotel is now in police custody and I have insisted on a full criminal investigation of the matter and an autopsy.
“The hotel receptionist has also been detained by the police whilst both the manager and the owner of the hotel were invited for questioning earlier this week”, he added.
He also revealed that the hotel was sealed up by the police for two days after the incident, stating that the “room in which he lodged remains sealed till today”.
