  • Kennedy-Ohanenye thanked Tinubu for the opportunity to have served as minister.
  • She added that it has been an honour and privilege to contribute to the development of Nigeria.

Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, formerly Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, addressed her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

On Wednesday, President Tinubu dismissed five ministers, including Kennedy-Ohanenye, Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Youth Development), Tahir Mamman (Education), and Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (Housing and Urban Development).

In a Thursday statement, Kennedy-Ohanenye expressed gratitude to Tinubu for the opportunity to serve Nigeria.

She considered her tenure an honor and privilege, contributing to Nigeria’s development.
