Four Nigerian Men Missing After Business Trip to Benin Republic

  • According to a family member, the group confirmed their arrival in Benin and checked into the F&F Hotel in the Savalou region

Four Nigerian businessmen have been reported missing after travelling to Benin Republic for a business meeting.

The men, identified as Habeeb Adesola, Baseer Adesola, Moshood Afolabi, and Rufai Gafar, left Nigeria on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, but have not been heard from since.

According to a family member, the group confirmed their arrival in Benin and checked into the F&F Hotel in the Savalou region.

However, their mobile phones became unreachable by the following day, along with the phone of their business partner, Ogah K. Anthonin, whom they had gone to meet.

In a statement, the family said the men, all based in Ilorin, Kwara State, had left for the trip in a Toyota Camry with the registration number ABJ 607GGE. Despite efforts to reach them, no contact has been made since their disappearance.

Local authorities have yet to comment on the situation as the search continues.
