Five persons have mysteriously died in Etsako West Local Government government Area of Edo State.
The deceased four boys and a girl were found dead in a room at Afashio community.
It was gathered that two of the victims were brothers while the three others, including the female, were their friends.
The corpses of the deceased were said to have been discovered by family members after noticing their strange lengthy stay in the room.
The family member who decided to check on them, however,found their lifeless bodies inside the room.
The Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command, SP Moses Yamu, confirmed the incident.
Moses simply said: “The Command is aware. But investigation to unravel the cause of death is ongoing.”
However, a source in the community said food poisoning was being suspected, as there was no sign of assault or marks on them.
He said the incident was reported at the Jattu Police Division even as the family members were trying to unravel the cause of their death
