A 19-year-old scrap worker, Sefilahi Danlami, has been allegedly stabbed to death by his colleagues at the Pantaker Market in Mpape, Bwari Area Council of Abuja.

The incident occurred on Friday, causing a commotion in the area.

According to reports, Ibrahim Dahiru, 22, accused Danlami of theft and allegedly mobilised a group of boys to attack him with dangerous weapons. The attack, which took place around 2:30 p.m., resulted in Danlami’s death.

The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, stating that Dahiru has been arrested. She added that seven others involved in the attack are still at large, and investigations are ongoing to uncover the full details of the case.

Adeh noted, “It is a case of culpable homicide. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect mobilised seven of his friends to attack the deceased, leading to his death. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.”
