  • APC said neglecting his duties as governor is a disservice to the people of Oyo State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to prioritise governance rather than his 2027 presidential ambitions, warning that his fixation on future politics could harm his constituents.

In a statement on Sunday, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka criticised Makinde for his continued attacks on the ruling party, calling it “reckless” and counterproductive.

“While democracy allows Governor Makinde to pursue his political goals, neglecting his duties as governor is a disservice to the people of Oyo State,” Morka said.

He accused Makinde of failing in leadership, diverting attention from Oyo’s needs in favour of personal political aspirations, and suggested that the success of President Tinubu’s reforms could undermine Makinde’s 2027 ambitions.
