  • Chief Charles Udeogaranya criticized President Tinubu’s ministerial reshuffle, stating it won’t address Nigeria’s pressing economic challenges and lacks urgency
  • Udeogaranya warned that upcoming global events, like the U.S. presidential election, could impact Nigeria’s economic strategies and conditions

Chief Charles Udeogaranya, a former APC presidential aspirant from the 2019 race, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent reshuffling of ministerial positions, describing the changes as “in the wrong places and unlikely to bring the desired impact.”

Udeogaranya stressed that Nigerians need tangible improvements in economic conditions, something he believes the current reshuffle won’t address. He noted that upcoming global events, like the U.S. presidential election, could affect economic strategies worldwide.

For instance, the European Union is already preparing for a Trump presidency, which might lead to higher tariffs and other restrictive measures on EU goods, impacting economies globally.

Expressing his concerns, Udeogaranya suggested that Tinubu’s current economic team lacks urgency and a proactive approach. He urged the President to revamp his economic team with capable leaders if he is serious about improving Nigeria’s economy.
