- Engineers are already working to quickly restore bulk power supply to the states affected
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), on Tuesday afternoon, stated that the national grid experienced a partial disturbance at about 1:52pm.
Recall that the nation’s power grid witnessed a series of collapses last month.
In 2024 alone, the National grid has collapsed at least eight times.
Recently, nine northern states were plunged into darkness as the National grid collapsed again.
A statement signed by TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah on Tuesday, 5th of November , however, noted that the data from the National Control Centre (NCC) in Osogbo, Osun State, revealed that a part of the grid was not affected by the bulk power disruption.
“TCN engineers are already working to quickly restore bulk power supply to the states affected by the partial disturbance. Presently, bulk power supply has been restored to Abuja, at 2.49pm, and we are gradually restoring to other parts of the country.
“We sincerely apologize for every inconvenience this may cause our electricity customers,” Mbah stated.
