The Kwara State Government has asked public sector workers to register promptly with the Kwara State Residents’ Registration Agency.
Failure to obtain a valid resident registration number by November will result in withheld salaries and bonuses for state employees.
This directive was outlined in a statement released by Commissioner for Finance, Dr. Hauwa Nuru, and signed by Press Secretary Babatunde Abdulrasheed, in Ilorin.
According to Nuru, the registration process commenced in July, with KWSRRA mandated to collect resident data and assign unique identities for enhanced planning.
“In line with the administration’s commitment to accountability and transparency in resource management, a directive has been issued mandating all state employees, including those across the 16 local government areas, to complete their registration.
“From November, any worker who has not registered will not receive salary payments or bonuses,” she said.
Registering with KWSRRA enables Kwara to serve residents more effectively, strengthening payroll systems, enhancing service delivery, and building trust.
“The integrity of our data affects all our financial and administrative systems. A complete database helps us make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure that every eligible worker is compensated fairly and accurately,” she added.
Unregistered state employees are urged to enroll promptly at the nearest KWSRRA centre.
“By following this directive, the Kwara State Government is working to establish a more efficient and equitable system for both its workforce and residents,” she said.
