  • The governor said his “intimidating projects” have muted opposition parties in the state apparently.
  • He added that the APC’s strong candidates will ensure a landslide victory across all 20 LGAs in the upcoming elections.

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has declared Friday a public holiday to enable residents participate in the local government election.

The election is set to take place on Saturday across 20 Local Government Areas and 236 wards in the state.

In a statement released on Thursday, Kehinde Onasanya, Head of Service, explained that the holiday will allow voters to travel to their respective LGAs to cast their ballots.

“The Bureau of Service Matters, Office of the Head of Service, has announced that the Ogun state government has approved Friday, November 15, 2024, as a work-free day for civil and public servants,” the statement reads.
