  • The Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth condemned groups attacking Seyi Tinubu, asserting their support for him and rejecting false representations
  • The coalition warned of potential legal action against those impersonating them and emphasized Seyi Tinubu’s commitment to youth advocacy in Lagos

The Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth has disassociated itself from unnamed groups attacking Mr. Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement on Thursday, the coalition’s coordinator, Hon. Tunde Azeez, condemned the actions of these groups. He described them as illegal and unrecognized entities falsely representing the coalition’s interests.

The statement clarified, “We have noted that some individuals, posing as the Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth, have been spreading false information about the industrious son of our leader, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

The group emphasized that the circulating claims did not come from its members or executives. They voiced unwavering support for Seyi Tinubu, acknowledging his contributions and affirming they would back him if he sought the position of Lagos State Governor.

“We caution Ibrahim Whyte and his associates to stop their attempts to blackmail Mr. Seyi Tinubu under the guise of representing our coalition,” the statement warned.

The coalition also hinted at possible legal action if the defamation and impersonation continue. They expressed disbelief that such actions could occur in the modern era.

“Lagos remains home to Mr. Seyi Tinubu, not just as an indigene but also as a devoted advocate for young people. He is a valued member of our community,” the group concluded.
