Armed robbers on Saturday morning attacked Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, El-kanemi Warriors.
Players and officials of the club came under attack along Jos-Bauchi road on their way to Maiduguri from Lagos.
The team was returning from Lagos where they lost 2-0 to Ikorodu City in a matchday 14 fixture on Wednesday.
According to reports, several players and officials were injured during the attack and the assailants made away with valuables, including phones and cash.
The injured persons are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital in Bauchi.
El-kanemi Warriors are scheduled to host Bayelsa United in Maiduguri on Sunday
