Panic and apprehension gripped residents of Gombe State following a tragic occurrence on Christmas day.

At least twenty two persons were reportedly injured after a commercial vehicle rammed into a horde of Christian faithfuls during a Christmas procession.

The incident happened in the State capital, Gombe, when the commercial bus driver lost control of his vehicle and struck several Christian faithful.

It is gathered that the Christmas celebrants were in a procession from the Tumfure community to the Government House and Gombe Emir’s Palace to pay homage when the incident occurred.
