A young woman, yet to be identified, was found dead in Ombi 1, a community near Mustapha Agwei II State Polytechnic in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The grim discovery comes just a week after a gospel singer in the state allegedly killed and dismembered his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, sparking widespread outrage.

Residents of Ombi 1 have expressed fear and unease following the latest incident. The area, known for its nightlife and social activities, has reportedly become a hotspot for criminal activities, with hoodlums often posing as students of the State Polytechnic.

Eyewitnesses reported that the victim was brutally murdered and her body dragged from a junction before being dumped behind a compound late Saturday night. The body was discovered by residents on Sunday morning.
