A high-ranking official of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adekunle Raif Adeniji, has been abducted by gunmen in Abuja.
Dr. Adeniji, who serves as the Director of Administration at the APC National Secretariat, was kidnapped two weeks ago in the Federal Capital Territory.
His abductors have reportedly contacted his family, demanding a N350 million ransom for his release.
Neither the APC nor security agencies have made official statements on the incident, but sources confirm that the director remains in captivity.
Dr. Adeniji was appointed to his position in August 2024, following the resignation of his predecessor, Prof. Alaba Adediwura.
His abduction follows a recent case in which kidnappers demanded N250 million for the release of retired Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who was taken from his Katsina residence last Wednesday.
