Everton denied Liverpool a win with a dramatic last-minute equaliser in their final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. The intense Premier League clash ended in a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.

Both teams delivered a high-energy performance, making the match a fitting farewell to Goodison’s derby history. Liverpool, leading 2-1 in the closing moments, saw their hopes dashed when James Tarkowski struck late, sending Everton fans into celebration.

Jarrad Branthwaite’s free-kick caught Liverpool off guard, allowing Beto to slot a calm finish past Alisson. However, Alexis Mac Allister quickly responded, leveling the score before Mohamed Salah put the Reds ahead in the second half.

Despite the draw, Liverpool stay seven points clear at the top of the Premier League. Meanwhile, Everton, sitting 15th, found more reason to celebrate the result.
