  • Diallo’s absence is a blow for ManU, adding to existing injuries of Mainoo, Martinez and others, as the team ranks 13th in Premier League

According to reports on Saturday, Manchester United forward Amad Diallo may miss the rest of the season due to ankle ligament damage.

Diallo reportedly sustained the injury during training, though United has yet to confirm the severity as the 22-year-old awaits further medical evaluation.

The Ivory Coast international has been a standout performer in United’s challenging season, scoring crucial goals against Manchester City and Liverpool.

With six goals in his last 14 appearances across all competitions, Diallo’s absence would be a significant setback for United manager Ruben Amorim.

Amorim had already hinted at injury and illness concerns ahead of Sunday’s fixture against Tottenham.

Reports suggest that midfielders Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer have also injured themselves, adding to United’s growing concerns.

United have already lost Lisandro Martinez to a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury, while Amorim confirmed that Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, and Altay Bayindir remain sidelined.

Academy players, including 17-year-old Chido Obi, have been promoted to first-team training to cope with the injury crisis.

United currently sit 13th in the Premier League standings, with Tottenham trailing them by just two points ahead of their upcoming clash.
