  • Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa condemned the incident, labelling it unprofessional and a breach of police ethics

The Abia State Police Command has initiated an investigation into a viral Facebook video depicting officers assaulting a civilian on Lagos Street in Umuahia.

According to a press release issued on Friday by Police Public Relations Officer Maureen Chioma Chinaka, the officers involved have been identified and are currently being interrogated at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Commissioner of Police Danladi Isa condemned the incident, labelling it unprofessional and a breach of police ethics.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professionalism, rule of law, and fostering a community-friendly police force, aligning with the Inspector General’s vision.
