  • It said that there is optimism that continuous collaboration will provide essential academic materials and structured support for disadvantaged Almajiri children.

AbdulRahman Yusuf Mu’azu, managing director of Al-Absal Business Link, has implored government authorities nationwide to focus on the struggles of Almajiri children.

Mu’azu made the appeal in an engaging speech at a one-day workshop in Bauchi state over the weekend.

Pointing out the shortcomings of the National Commission for Almajiri and out of school children education, Mu’azu stressed the immediate necessity of strengthening the commission’s capacity to provide vital assistance, such as suitable housing, learning facilities, and academic supplies for the children.

The event, hosted by Al-Absal Business Link alongside the Mujaddadi Foundation, brought together Qur’anic school instructors and community elders to deliberate on the difficulties confronting Almajiri education.

Mu’azu’s appeal underlined the critical need for comprehensive support for these disadvantaged children, who frequently lack opportunities for formal education.

Speaking on behalf of the Mujaddadi Foundation, Executive Director Hon. Tijjani Adamu Aliyu highlighted the necessity of applying the insights acquired from the workshop effectively.

He affirmed his dedication to relaying the attendees’ concerns to government representatives, pushing for a structured response to meet the educational demands of Almajiri children.

With continued collaboration among different stakeholders, there is optimism for developing a framework that guarantees a better future for Almajiri children by providing essential academic materials and adequate support.
