  • The EPPC is responsible for reviewing Terms of Reference, developing a work plan, and creating an Elections Project Plan (EPP) Template.
  • The committee will establish sub-committees and set deadlines for submitting essential election planning documents ahead of the 2027 general elections.

As part of its preliminary groundwork for the 2027 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has established the Election Project Plan Committee (EPPC) to oversee strategic election planning.

The committee convened its first session earlier this week in Abuja to deliberate on structuring a well-coordinated electoral process.

Headed by Prof. Rhoda H. Gumus, the committee has been assigned the responsibility of crafting a detailed strategy to ensure a smooth electoral process.

Its duties include examining the Terms of Reference, formulating a work schedule, forming sub-committees, drafting an Elections Project Plan (EPP) Template, and determining deadlines for submissions.
